Learn moreWe are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager IT Operations to oversee the IT administration unit at STRATO. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, coordination, and leadership of our high-performing team to ensure optimal performance and seamless collaboration across departments. You will work closely with other IT Managers and the Infrastructure Manager to drive innovation and improve efficiency within a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.
Tasks
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize team performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Enhance collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT Managers and Infrastructure Managers, to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Oversee the integration of open source technologies, Linux, and Unix environments into our IT infrastructure.
- Drive DevOps initiatives and automation of distributed server landscapes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement and promote Agile and project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) to improve project execution and deliver results
Qualifications
- Strong experience in leading IT teams of approximately 10 members, with disciplinary and functional leadership expertise.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a leadership position, preferably in the hosting or cloud industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge in server infrastructure and web/cloud hosting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Analytical, solution-oriented mindset and high self-initiative
- Solid background in hosting and IT infrastructure, with a knack for open source technologies.
- Proven record of working with Linux and Unix environments.
- Extensive experience in DevOps and automation techniques.
- Familiarity with Agile work environments and project management methodologies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
