About the team:

Paid Products Applications Development in Romania is part of the Mail and Media Development department at 1&1.

The product we are developing aims to offer affordable hosting for non-technical customers. It integrates multiple third-party service providers to offer all the features required by our customers. Our product acts like a middleware, orchestrating all of the requests necessary to fulfill the customer requests.

About the Working Student program:

This program is intended for students (currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program) who want to gain experience, following what they learned in a specialized faculty, in order to become IT specialists. 

Main responsibilities:

• Learn about the company’s products and projects;
• Implement new features and bug fixes according to the products’ roadmap;
• Collaborate with the colleagues in the development team, as well as with colleagues from the QA, Infrastructure, Operations and Product Management;
• Assist other developers throughout the entire development process.

We appreciate:

• Currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• An analytical and detail-oriented mindset;
• Advanced level in English (both written and spoken);
• Highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Software Engineering;
• Good communication skills and a great team player.

Would be a plus:

• Previous experience in software development;
• Knowledge of Java / Spring / Web Services or JavaScript / React;
• Willingness to work full stack (Java, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes).
